Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Through the suffering and Resurrection of the Son of God, the Mystery of life was revealed to us. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Source of Life, filled with grace and love, took on our human nature, and showed us that we are people created in His image, that together with Him in this Luminous Feast we show ourselves, born anew, as conquerors of death and inhabitants of paradise.
Just as the heavens rise above the earth, so too does this Feast, with its joy, love, hope, and justice, rise above death and sorrow, revealing the brevity of every earthly reality and loudly testifying that “death is temporary, but life is eternal.” From this Great Feast, from its truth and beauty, we should receive hope and strength, and thus in this age and world let us resist all adversity and defeat the last and greatest enemy, and that is death.
During the days of this Radiant Feast of the Risen Lord Christ, let us give thanks for the gift of life that He has bestowed upon us, for it is, along with the gift of faith, the most beautiful gift and splendor that God has given us.
In addressing all of you, dear parishioners of Saint Petka – Vratnica, with the approaching Feast of the Lord’s Resurrection, we wish you abundant blessings from God and His help all the days of your lives, during this Feast of Feasts and Celebration of Celebrations, with the joyous greeting,
